| Prof. Ouri E. Wolfson, University of Illinois Chicago, AmericaIEEE Fellow, ACM Fellow, AAAS Fellow, AAIA FellowOuri Wolfson's main research interests are in big data, mobile and pervasive computing, smart city technologies, and AI. He received his B.A. degree in mathematics, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. He is currently a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the founder, president, and chief Scientist of Pirouette Software Inc.. Previously he has been on the computer science faculty at the Technion, Columbia University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories. He was the founder of Mobitrac, a high-tech venture-funded startup that was listed in the top 50 start-ups in Chicagoland and acquired in 2006. He served as a consultant to Argonne National Laboratory, US Army Research Laboratories, DARPA, and NASA. Ouri Wolfson authored over 240 publications, eight of them award winning. He holds seven patents, and has over 17,000 citations and an h-index of 61 on Google scholar. He is a Fellow of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), a Fellow of the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA), and a University of Illinois Scholar for 2009. He served as a Distinguished Lecturer for the Association of Computing Machinery. Wolfson was the keynote and distinguished speaker at leading conferences and universities, recently the The Eighth International Conference on Big Data Analytics (BDA2020) , Dec. 2020, and the International Conference on Transport and Smart Cities (ICoTS 2021) , Sept. 2021. Ouri Wolfson is the Editor in Chief of the MDPI Journal of Future Transportation , the Specialty Chief Editor of Frontiers' Smart Technologies and Cities , and he chaired leading conferences. | Prof. Weijia Jia, Beijing Normal University (BNU-Zhuhai), ChinaIEEE FellowProf. Weijia Jia is currently a Chair Professor at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University and a Professor at Beijing Normal University (BNU), Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. He also serves as the Director of Joint BNU-BNBU Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Future Networking. Prior joining BNU/BNBU, he served as the Chair Professor and Deputy Director of the State Kay Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City at the University of Macau and Zhiyuan Chair Professor at the Shanghai Jiaotong University, PR China. He received BSc/MSc from Center South University, China in 1982-1984 and PhD from Polytechnic Faculty of Mons (now with the University of Mons), Belgium in 1991-1993, respectively; all in computer science. For 1993-1995, he joined German National Research Center for Information Science (GMD) in Bonn (St. Augustine), Germany as a research fellow. From 1995-2013, he worked in City University of Hong Kong as an Assit./Assoc./full professor. His contributions have been recognized as the theory and algorithms of AI (NLP in particular) optimal network routing and deployment, intelligent edge computing, vertex cover, anycast and multicast protocols, sensors networking, and knowledge relation extractions. He has over 500 publications in the prestige international journals/conferences (e.g. IEEE/ACM Transactions/journals, Infocom, AAAI etc.) and research books and book chapters. His current H-index is 67 (Google scholar, citations 15000+). He received the 1st Prize of Scientific Research Awards from the Ministry of Education of China in 2017 and many provincial science and technology awards. He has guided the students to attain 30+ top prizes in various top international conferences and AI competitions. Based on his research outcome and input into the system implementations, he received the best product awards from the International Science & Tech. Expo (Shenzhen, China) in the consecutive years of 2011 and 2012. He has served as area editor for various prestige international journals (e.g. IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Computing and Computer Communications), chair and PC member/keynote speaker for top international conferences. He has been recognized as Chinese National Expert and listed in 2020-2022 as Top 2% of life Scientists on Stanford List. | Prof. Lei Shen, Hangzhou Dianzi University, ChinaShen Lei, Ph.D., is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the Department of Information and Electronics at Zhejiang University in 2002, then pursued his Ph.D. in the same department, earning a Doctorate in Engineering in Telecommunications and Information Systems in 2007. Since June 2007, he has been working at Hangzhou Dianzi University, engaging in teaching and research. His current focus includes wireless communication and artificial intelligence in both education and research. In recent years, he has led numerous national, provincial, and defense-related research projects, as well as industry collaborations. His ongoing research primarily explores traditional and AI-based communication reconnaissance, protocol identification, modulation recognition, and fingerprint recognition algorithms. This includes studies on vein recognition, fingerprint recognition, smart pastures, and cattle face/back identification. He has published over 40 papers in prestigious academic journals and international conferences, with more than 20 indexed by SCI. His achievements include the Third Prize of Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of Hangzhou Natural Science Award, and the Third Prize of Zhejiang Provincial University Research Achievements Award. |
